TNPSC Librarian Recruitment 2023 Educational Qualifications

• College Librarian: A Master’s Degree in Library Science or Information Science or Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree with not less 55% marks.
• Librarian and Information Officer: A Master’s Degree of a University recognized by the UGC; (10+2+3+2 pattern) and A Master’s Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science of a University recognized by the University Grants Commission; and Must have experience as Librarian for a period of not less than five years in Academic or Public or Special or Corporate Libraries.
• District Library Officer: Any Master’s Degree of a University recognized by the UGC in the pattern of 10+2 or its equivalent + 3 + 2; and A Master’s degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science of a University recognized by the University Grants Commission; and Must have experience for a period of not less than three years in any of the libraries in a supervisory cadre.
• Library Assistant: A Degree; and A Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science.
• Librarian and Information Assistant: A Bachelor’s Degree of a University recognized by the UGC. A Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science of a University recognized by the UGC.
